I have been using H&R Block tax software for quite a few years. I like that the information from prior year is transfer to new year. the one improvement i suggest is the have larger print.

Couldn't efile even though everything was accurate

I wanted to efile with the state but your software wouldn't allow it because my W2 shows 6k income and my state taxes were higher than 25% of that. EVERYTHING was accurate and correct but I was forced to mail in my return. Your software could see that I owed a lot of taxes because of capital gains but wouldn't let me efile.
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I both this software last year and problems were occurring from the time I downloaded the software.
1. It suppose work on Windows 10 and higher. I have Windows 10 and it did not work at all. I found out later by downloading HR software you added automatically Windows Edge and it screwed up old Windows 10 to be unusable. I tried on several different computers with Windows 10 with same result and lock up!!!!
2. After getting into another computer with Windows 11, I was hoping all problems are gone. My mistake!!!
HR software suppose to copy all data as needed from 2024 filings done on HR software as well.
When downloading W2 form from ADP, your software did not get SS number and could not corelate it with 2024 data either. You have created way to edit information after download, but there is no box for updating SS. Upon final review the program was citing missing SS number at W2 data. I have to go back and manually to added in the worksheet!!
3. When finalizing and going back and forth, it was time for another final review. Program stated that there are missing information from last year work sheets?????? Referring to lines and information nowhere to be found on last year return. Program for 2015 suppose to copy over all necessary data automatically, it does not!!!
4. After manually filling W2 form I missed State taxes paid block, even as all other Federal, Medicare and local taxes were paid. Software did not catch missing information.
5. Instead of tax filling breeze, it took over 20 hrs. of my time between various issues.
6. Incompetence at the best. You have long way to go!!!
