The software definitely makes filing easier, but I do believe that if the developers put their minds to it, they could greatly improve the foreign tax credit and form 1116 and worksheet features, and help guide the user through the process. While I realize the software is not intended to take the place of a tax advisor, it could make simpler situations more straightforward.
