The software is generally good. It is easy enough to use with some knowledge of the tax laws and forms.
One area is not well documented - the underpayment penalty options & calculations - form 2210.
Using software for early tax calculations is problematic as the IRS is slow with changes before the tax year is complete... I do not plan to buy the software early anymore.

Same as the many tears I have used this software doing one of the most important jobs I have - filing income taxes for federal and state properly and correctly, one time.
Tax laws change constantly and are always updated and applied to my situation through a simple question and answer format.

I believe in and trusted plus used H&R block tax software for over 10 years. It always been easy to use and accurate. I will continue to use this tax software because I know I can depend on it. I do my state and federal tax and e-file both to faster return. I think H&R Tax software is the best.

I have used this product for years and it continues to improve over time. It is great for fairly simple returns, mainly with W2 or 1099 income and was also good when I owned a rental property. But I am not sure it is OK for more complex returns, or that it actively seeks every possible deduction or tax benefit available. So a bit of knowledge of tax law is still very important.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
