Claiming state sales tax vs state income tax wasn’t clear. It just asked for the amounts of each, and stated that if sales tax was more, it was probably best to claim that; so that’s what I chose. When I finished putting the rest of my info in, it stated I was itemizing and the only thing it included was sales tax and one other thing I believe. The standard deduction was much higher, but the sales tax vs income tax section never said you had to itemize to take the sales tax deduction. That can waste a lot of time finding receipts. Some explanation either weren’t clear, or weren’t in-depth enough.

My imported 1099-INT had a value of less than 1 dollar. The H&R software could not accept it. I could not edit it. No error message explained what to do. You need to fix this.

I’ve been using H&R Block tax software for many year's. I’ve tried other tax software but keep coming back to H&R. It’s easy to use and the support is excellent, plus I’ve never been audited.

Corrupt version caused headache but problem solved

The software or the update feature was corrupt which prevented me from filing my returns. The software worked well completing the returns but displayed an error message when trying to file. After several phone calls, I was emailed a new link that worked. I used the product for several years and this is the first time this has happened.

Absolutely awful software. Difficult to find where to put specific amounts. Not all information gets imported properly. I do not trust the results. Next year I get professional help, even for a simple return. No way to examine return before printing it?

I trusted it for accuracy. You changed it and made it more complicated to use. I had a hard time finding last years program for a friend. I did not understand your usage of all the numbers of stock sales and didn't know
what you wanted. I had to get help from my daughter who had figured that out. It took many hours to do my
return. Having worked for Block for 32 years didn't help me figure out your program.
