It does what it 's supposed to and that's all I needed. I'm retired so don't need all the bells and whistles. I don't understand it flagging a question that has been answered, but it is what it is. The government messes up everything, so I figure it's just something to do with that.

I have used the H&R Block Deluxe software to file taxes for myself and two other family members for the past 7 years. We have a rental property, a small business, retirement income and W2 income. The H&R Block software makes it much simpler to file all of these tax returns and income types. I like the way the software asks me questions and leads me down the right path based on the answer. I highly recommend the H&R Block software

I have used H&R block for many years and was happy with the ease of use. Not this year! It kept flagging the gross distribution amounts on several 1099R forms when the amounts were exactly as issued. I called for help and after about 45 minutes of trying everything, gave up. I restarted the program and began from scratch - only to get the same flagged results. I had to print and manually file. I still haven't heard back from either state or federal IRS regarding the letter I sent them.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
