Works well... have used for years...
Discovered a software bug, but could not find anywhere to report it.. AI Chats did not help.
Bug was in Form 1116, Foreign Tax Credit. Program used Adjusted Gross Income figure (11b) and not the Taxable Income figure (i.e. Gross, less deductions, or line 15 on 1040-SR ). Refer to Line 18, Form 1116.

I have used this software for several years and have always recommended it to others. This year was a disaster. First it flagged an error in my taxes because the same amount of taxes were deducted for both Federal and State. This required me to MAIL by State taxes this software could not get around that glitch. I also do my brothers taxes he is on disability and has ONLY SSA that is less than 15,000. The H&B Block software even said it would not be taxable, but in the review process the software locked and demanded there had to be income. I will be using TURBO TAX next year.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this software for quite a few years. Quicken is easier as far as I am concerned but this works fine, gets the same results and is cheaper. One thing this year, we are seniors and I found it hard to find that it gave us the double deduction. It did the job, I just had trouble finding it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased in February 2025 and have been satisfied with the software. Prior 15 years was Turbo Tax, but did not support Microsoft 10, thus the change. Problem, filed my Idaho State Tax Return and in checking to see if accepted the state refund changed. Always update software on starting each session. I assume there was an update and the reason for the amount change. Not happy about this with the extra time and effort to file an amended return.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can't remember exactly which section, but at one point I was requested to enter the state for some particular income. I typed in "NM" (New Mexico), but the software came back with something like "not a valid entry". The entry box only allowed 2 letter state abbreviations, so eventually I just left it blank. At the end, it didn't flag as an erro, and I got my refund back, so "no harm, no foul" I guess?
Just to let you know though, "NM" is a valid state abbreviation.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
