I have switched between H&R Block and Turbo tax from year to year. This is my second straight year using H&R block. I find it is easier to use and will probably continue to use it.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
Ive been buying this software for years and have been happy, but this year was a bit different. The software said if I had my W2 info in PDF form I could import it. So, I tried it. Not Good!! It seemed ok, but It put some of the info in wrong locations which took me lots and lots of headache to figure out. But once I figured it out the rest went fine.
The only problem I had was my daughter's return. She and her husband went from filing jointly to filing separately. Only two choices -- filed last year, and include AGI, or new filer and AGI not required. Since they filed jointly last year, I didn't know how to split up the AGI. Fact is the IRS wanted last year's AGI for both individual filings. Didn't find that out until the IRS rejected the first submission; the H&R explanation that came back with the rejection notice cleared it up. Would have been nice to have that information in the software so the correct info could have been entered the first time through.

First time user of this tax product after years of professional tax preparation, and this product was very easy to use. Just put in the numbers, answer a few questions and let H&R do the work. It's priced way lower than my other preparer too.
