I like the software, easy to use and understand. However I had two major problems with Adoption Credit validation and Efile Prior year AGI wrong
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
Cons: Hard to fix issues

Almost flawless!

I have used this for several years. This year, when it verified the return at the end, It found an entry that it did not know what to do with. I created an H&R Block account to get advice via the live chat, but it never worked. I finally found the answer to my problem, but with great difficulty.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast
Cons: Hard to fix issues

Easy To Complete

Bought the end of 2016 and used today to complete my Federal and State taxes. Pretty easy to get done with guided questions. Had many 1099's this year so it was much more complicated than past years but got through it in less than an hour.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Excellent Tax Prep Software at affordable price

I have always used a Tax Pro for my previous year(s) tax preparations. This year I decided to use H&R Block Deluxe given my situation includes married filing jointly, W2s, IRA deductions and 1099-INT. I was confused between H&R Block and TurboTax but then I did some comparison and decided to go with H&R Block because at the time when I purchased this software, H&R Block was cheaper than TurboTax, it has in-person audit support for desktop version and in case of audit, I can go to its nationwide brick-and-mortar locations for help as opposed to talking to someone over the phone (offshore) with TurboTax.
Using the software: It was super easy to import my W2 using its "Import from Employer" feature. However, my wifes' payroll provider does not work with H&R Block so I tried to upload PDF of W2 but PDF upload was unsuccessful. So, I had to type in all information manually which took no more than 10 minutes. Its not a big deal for me but I wish H&R Block improves this feature in future. I highly recommend this software for someone whose Tax filing situation is straight forward because all you need is about an hour to prepare and file your return with this software.

State filing ball dropped!

Bought deluxe with one state. Live in NH but work in VT. Unable to use software to file nonresident return in VT...no refund offered.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Easy to Use

I downloaded the software and was done with my 2017 taxes in about an hour. The software was easy to use and navigate through. My return is relatively simple to do. If you have a lot of rental properties or foreign properties / accounts, you may be better off having your taxes done.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast

compared to other types of tax forms, is easy to use , answered all my questions , only problem had to wait for update at end of Feb. ( government again - wait to last minute to change things) prefer to send in return , don't trust e-file. but very good info. Early in taxpaying career had a table full of documents and had to search thru them, This way is way easier.

Great features

I use H & R Block income tax program every year without any problems, however this year I experienced incorrect entries with this program two separate times using IRS Form 1099R for my m
The problem was the entries for the form 1099R kept repeating itself after I recalled the items fro my mutual funds. The entries subjected me to a large cash amount due to the IRS. I had to individually open each entry and delete the 2nd copy. This occurred more than once.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to import
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues
