I have been using H&R Block tax software for year and year and it does not disappoint me. Easy to use. Lots of help and explanations. I would like to see a place where I can report litle "bugs" without having to go through support.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import

I've been using Block tax software for many years, started back when it was called Taxcut. Tried the other big brand once and sent it back and used Block again that year. Block has more state programs than the other, is easier to use, and the included support from a company that has been in the tax preparation and assistance business since before my dad owned his own business almost 50 years ago is a great comfort. The one thing that I think would be an awesome improvement to an already great product would be the ability to use the software through out the year as estimated taxes come due. As a small business owner, my income cannot be accurately estimated at the beginning of the year. Therefore being able to enter actual income figures each quarter to determine what to pay as estimated tax at that time would be an awesome feature. I'd love to hear from a representative about this suggestion. thanks

So easy to use and it's backed by H&R Block

This program makes filing taxes so much easier then doing it by hand. I've been using this program for almost twenty years and wouldn't think of using any other tax software. I never hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

Easy process

Every year I get this in the mail and get the same discount I would find at the store. So why shop? The process is so easy with step by step instructions and if you are not sure exactly what it is talking about, you can easily find out by a click of the mouse. The downloading of prior year tax information saves so much time and each year tells you what is new for the year you are filing in. Come on, cant get any easier than that. Love it. I even brought my son and his girlfriend in from the "other guys" this year. It will be easy to do theirs next year now.

Easy to follow

Only had one problem, when filing electronic, it got rejected . it could not find a payers identification number. I verified it and it was correct. Got online help and we did it together. still no good. software problem?

Past versions were better, this time the program did not take me through a question session. I had to hunt and peck around to get to the right section. Especially perturbed about not asking whether to use a "State Sales Tax" deduction or a standard State Tax Deduction.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
