Filing was easy. Then I needed to amend (from std ded to list of my deductions). That was easy, too until I tried to print. "1. Create a copy of the return you already filed. (This new version is what you'll file as your amended return) 2. Then make changes to your amended return" This is ambiguous and contradictory and makes no sense !! And I couldn't make it work. It printed identical lists in the B and C columns and nothing in the A. I used a pound of paper trying every way. I would welcome a comment.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
I have been using HR Block tax software for 8 years now and I have found it easy to use and to be a very good value. This year, however, when i was doing my daughter's return which involved foreign earned income and foreign taxes paid, it would not allow me to e-file the return because there was an entry in column n of Form 1116. Perhaps, this is something due to the IRS. I only wish that this issue can be resolved.
fonts are a too small. you asked for a Texas employer tax ID#. no one puts that on a Texas w-2. this caused errors I couldn't resolve. on a 1099-int I earned 0.11 -- your form would not accept it rounding to zero
I have used this software for several years. I have made mistakes in entering info, so the program identified what I needed to change or add to complete my return. At the final check, my return was cleared to be filed.
