Solid Tax Software with moderate Issues

HR Block has always been Solid at the core competency of Tax Filing. The UI is starting to seem both Dated and Obtuse - far too many Menus in an age of Popouts and Pages. And the support for peripheral elements such as PDF Printing (insists on installing a 3rd-party PDF product when Windows10 has native PDF support) and Backup Copies (no acknowledgement of Cloud / Internet Drive storage) is positively Outdated.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to import
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues

They have lost too much

When I first started using H&R Block, they had real help screens, not just a link to the IRS site. I can do that myself. They also had a comparison of your numbers between last year and this year. That is gone. Basically, it's a fill in the blanks and I can do that without spending money on a tax program. I am completely disappointed of how much has been dismissed from this program that used to be there and after using it for over 15 years, I will be looking for something else for next year.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to import
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to fix issues

Glad I purchased when I did, a bit to expensive otherwise [online]
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast

Software did not help me filling the form 8889

This software should not ask us to follow IRS guideline and instructions to fill the form. Instead it should fill the form correctly for us.

The tax program is fine for the most part, The only tax problem was its not clear regarding info on HSA's. I contribute money to my account in addition to my employer, I saw no info regarding this amount that I contribute. THE HUGE problem is that numerous times there were software glitches that prevented me going forward. I had the firewall down , did everything suggested and the program was not communicating with the HR Block server, it was a nightmare.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to fix issues, Hard to import

never I made my income because always my tax pro made for my and this year is the first time and excited is hard prepared because I speak and read Spanish because is my first language but I made i read with my daughter she help me

Easy to use - even at the last minute

We have used H&R Block for years and had the best person in Illinois. Then we moved and we ended up waiting too long to go somewhere due to some unforeseen circumstances. Decided to try the software and is was very user friendly, walking us through all the options that Gerald used to --- will definitely be a repeat user.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Fast

Great Tax Program

I have used H&R Block for several years now and have found it very easy to use. But now that my eye sight is getting worse, the small font is hard to read. My wish for next year is for H&R Block to update the program so you can increase the font.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast
