Not enough support or answers.

I have used this program for the last 6 years without a problem. This year, I checked my status looking for my refund on 4/16/2018 and found out my federal was never sent. Sent it that night. Found out the next day it was denied. Trying to pay my taxes now, and the program is not available!! Who's going to pay the penalties?
Cons: Hard to fix issues
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not happy with Payment prompts; poor instructions.

This software is normally very simple and easy to use. However, I am very disappointed with the lack of prompting to pay what I owed. I knew I had to pay, but the manner of which the software said "how" I could pay through the software left me wondering what to do next. I had to dig to find where and how; not HRBlock's normal presentation. Not pleased with everything else looking nice and working smoothly just to end the process with poor payment instructions and links.
Pros: Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I switched from Turbo Tax several years ago and am happy with HR Block.

Good, but needs improvement

I trade Stocks & Futures as my business. H&R Block does recognize 1256 contracts but does not have the functionality to claim more than $3,000 in carry-over losses to offset current year gains. This is a major problem for someone who has opted for the "Trader in Securities" status. This missing feature causes me to have to pay for an accountant who understands this IRS work classification. H&R Block needs to include the ability to elect to draw from carryover losses.beyond $3,000.
