Bought Virginia State Income tax software. Virginia state asking for additional tax payment. This software keeps updating till April 10th, don't know why this delay ?
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A lot of the interview questions are unclear and some of the numbers that must be entered have poor descriptions or don’t include formulas. Numbers that could be calculated by the program based on the numbers provided aren’t automatically calculated like the home mortgage interest deduction. There is a federal limit and user provides the total amount but when entering the number for the state the app could just calculate the difference for states with higher limits.

I am satisfied with the performance of the product HOWEVER. the CONSTANT updating and last-minute changes are disturbing. This should be handled without all the 'back and forth'!

While I find the software relatively human friendly, I was very surprised that imports from Merrill Lynch were not available this year. I had to input a lot of data manually. I really hope that this will NOT occur next year.
