Comparing to all previous versions of HR Block tax software I've used, 2025's version is the best yet: Easier to follow and more intuitive. .
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I bought this instead of Turbo Tax this year, and I must say I loved the price. I did not love that none of my information seemed to transfer, I had to enter everyone I deal with like new.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

Screwed up print feature

The print function is screwed up. When you go to print a PDF the program states that PDF software needs to be installed. It does not recognize the already installed PDF software on the computer.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the 7th year, I've successfully used it, and I love how I can directly import the investment data from and an established outfit.
The reason for 4 and not 5 stares is that you no longer supply your SW on a CD, and if for some reason I need to fire up a previous year's release and experience a crashed HD, the SW may not be available.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I have used the web-based version for the past few years, but this year, a heavier schedule prevented my filing until the 15th of April. I will admit I was a bit miffed when the website seemed to be overwhelmed, and kept me waiting over an hour with still no proper log in. That's when I noticed the 'download' feature.
