Have use H&R Block tax software for over 10 years, never had an issue with it and it actually does make doing your taxes rather "painless" (with the exception of having to write a check to the IRS) :-)

Had to file an extension for my elderly Dad. Tried to file online. Program said nothing wrong, but IRS rejected return. Tried to go back and file paper return, program just kept checking status. Had to file manually
Cons: Hard to fix issues

Despite having used Block for years, this year, the IRS rejected my filing. Block reported two errors, but basically said check everything and resubmit, which I did, and it got rejected again. I buy this software, so that I don't have to mail the "blessed" return in, don't tell me to mail it in.
