Our family has been using the H & R Block software to file our taxes for many years. The software makes it easy to navigate the many complicated questions when filing taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I’ve been using HR Block for several years. This year the software seemed to have missed a lot more details from imported documents. I also don’t feel as confident that the software complete and correct.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

H&R Block Deluxe not ready for Investment Taxes

I found the ability of the software insufficient for applying data from investments through JP Morgan and Schwab. Errors were seen with 1099Bs and some investments were missed entirely. The product works okay with basic W2s and interest from bank statements, but is limited when working with investment (brokerages) tax information.
Cons: Hard to import documents
