Been useing program for 50 years. Good program but do not know why they charge to file state rsturns. It is not like they have to do anything. Other thenthe 2 stars would have givin 5 stars

The software works well, and it was less costly than its main competitor, TurboTax. What would make it a 5 star rating for me is if they included Staye e-filing in the price. I just mailed in the State return rather than pay an extra fee.

Still some holes in the software, for example this year when it imported my stock data from Schwab it had issues with the name of the stocks. It would import 0.3 Amazon, 11 IBM ... So I had to remove any number preceding the stock ticker. Also, when I did a review for accuracy it would take me to a form, giving little to no explanation as to what the error was. Sometimes the editable box would be highlighted yellow and sometimes it would not. In my opinion H&R Block seems more concern about writing the software for tax professionals versus the average person who does his/her individual return.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
