I have a suggestion concerning the interviewing of spouses. It would be so helpful if the interview screens & each follow screen identify which spouse is being interviewed.It is easy to get confused if you forget who's name is being interviewed.
Pros: Easy to install, Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues

I have been using the software for 23 years. The federal program is mostly good; although the 1040-ES form is difficult and not integrated. The state programs are mixed. I use CA MA PA & SC. PA is nearly worthless. I have asked and received a refund for the past two years. The state programs are overpriced considering their lack of functionality.

Software bug in K-1 data entry

As I went through the "interview process" to fill out my Schedule K-1 information, I later changed some numbers and boxes where information was entered. I then ran the verification function, and it flagged the data I had gone back and changed as still in the form (and incorrect). The only way I could get rid of the bad data was to delete the K-1 form and start over adding a new one. It obviously did not really change the entered information even though it changed it in the data entry section.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to fix issues

I've been a fan of H&R Block Deluxe for several years. For thbe most part it's an intuitive product, user friendly. But it still won't download my stock information from my brokerage firm, even though that coimpany is on Block's list of approved sources. It still doesn't have my bank's savings/checkin g accounts for data like interest payments. And my bank is one of nthe largest in thge country.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import
