Repeat customer for the last 25 years (remember Taxcut???). H&R Block improves the product in keeping with current capabilities of technology and changing tax laws. As an aside, I electronically filed my return (applied for the 6 month extension in April) on Sunday 10/14 and rec'd my full refund on Wednesday 10/17.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast

I have been using H&R lock tax software since it first came out as Tax Cut, many years ago. I love it and won't use anything else. I trust it to give me these lowest tax that I owe, and it is very easy to use. One year, I tried Turbo Tax, but didn't like it, so I bought the H&R Block softeare for the same year and used that. I haven't given a seconds worth of thought to switching ever since!

Problem with software update feature prevented regular filing. Had to do paper extension. Problem still not fixed after six months. After repurchasing software found standalone update package online and finally filed. Breaking up with H&R Block and Tax Cut after twenty years. Inexcusable.

debating on working out long hand on paper. K1s oil royalties werea pain. Each payer should have a form 8903 if needed with a sum page at end. K1 line 19 A not recognizable ?
Pros: Easy to import
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

I use this for it's great continuity year to year. I do wish it didn't discard any employers who don't pay me during a given year. I had a problem I have not found a way to resolve; my purchase of the state package was interrupted and I was charged twice.
