It would not install the updates until I reinstalled the program. Through the software I downloaded the state, but it would not install so I had to go online with the state and manually complete and submit the state return
Cons: Hard to fix issues

This is the first time I had a lot of trouble e-filing my return. Even after following all the directions my returns got rejected. The AGI was correct but still got rejected. I had to file my daughter's returns manually.
Also, I got billed 5 times for filing just one State Tax return!!

I switched from Turbo-Tax to H&R Block about 3 years ago and found H&R Block a more user friendly option. It's much easier to call up a tax form and continue if you've had to file an extension, plus, it doesn't have an 'nag' screen wanting even more personal information. The Pennsylvania State could be better by including the form for estimating interest and penalty if by chance you owe the state $100. Then again, PA has the most horrid, convoluted, and 'nebby' tax system out there, so I'm sure the best software programmers looked at PA and said, 'this is the closest we can get'.

As a retired CPA I know good tax software when I see it. H&R Block Is much easier to use than TurboTax, particularly if you’ve got a little tax knowledge.
