We have been using H R Block software for at least 20 years. We never used any other service. It just keeps getting easier and easier to use. The screens are simple and straight forward but much more information is just a click away if we need clarification. It's getting a little pricey but we certainly used it again for 2025 Fed and state taxes.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Once installed, the program seemed to work fine, although I have no way to judge the correctness wrt this year's tax code. However, it did not update correctly once installed, and failed to install the state product correctly. It installed and updated correctly inside a virtual Mac (running under UTM).
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
