After using Turbo-Tax for years they priced their product out of range. H & R Block is better anyway.

I used Turbo Tax last year and I am never going back. H&R Block cost less - about 1/3 the price - plus no extra fees to e-file. Thank you!

My only complaint or request for review is how you handle 1099 misc for royalties from another state. It seems more complicated than needed and the schedule e has a bunch of nothing on it. Other than that, I've used this software for years and am very pleased.

Can't even file!

I keep getting error codes with no reason for why my return was rejected electronically. I've tried to run it multiple times and it continues to charge my card for the service.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used the H&R Block software for several years now, but this year I was a bit uneasy because I was also having to do the taxes for my deceased son. My fears were unfounded because the step by step instructions were so easy, even when filing for a deceased taxpayer.

I have used H&R Block software for several years now and never had an issue with accuracy, completeness or electronic submission of Tax Returns. It is my go-to Tax Pro without all the costs associated with going through a CPA to do my taxes!

The H&R Block Deluxe 2018 software made it very easy to prepare both the federal and California tax returns. Installation was unbelievable fast. The ability to import date from either Block or TurboTax prior year returns really helped speed up the process and ensure accuracy of the imported prior year data. I have been doing my own taxes for many years and this was one of the easiest years yet. There are very informative notes as you proceed doing the taxes on what the new 2018 tax laws effect will have on our returns. Just a really simple and easy process to prepare an accurate return, and the free Federal e-files make it simple to complete the entire process in a very short time. A really great value in tax software, and a great timesaver, too.

The deluxe version includes schedule D. I started using H&R Block a couple years ago, because I was tired of paying almost twice as much for another brand. The software pre-fills out the forms based on my previous returns, is easy to use and I trust the advice.
