Very disappointed in the software this year. There was clearly a glitch in the software, so my federal return was rejected. The software said my spouse had a traditional IRA, when he has a Roth IRA, and the amounts weren’t correct. Which they were. The IRS rejected my federal return, and State put my return on hold until my Federal Return was accepted. So after working 11 hours with patients, I was running around at 9 PM to get my federal return mailed out on time. Not. Happy.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

Some language was a bit ambiguous and caused me to look elsewhere to understand what exactly was being asked or quantified. Product website said that software could do non-resident state form for Delaware, but after buying software I found it could not.

Have used HR Block for years. I find it easy and has good help materials for the more difficult topics. I import last year, go through the questions, bring up all forms used, double check, and efile my return. I used to have to do a state return as well but no longer. During the years when I did the state and federal worked well to pass info back and forth between the two.
