It works.

Over the past 24 tax seasons I've used Tax Cut once, Turbo Tax maybe 3 times, but H&R Block and Kipplingers at least 20 times. Do I love it? No, I hate doing taxes but I believe in doing my own tax preparation. The H&R Block tax software works for me. Somehow I screw up and the new software can't find last year's results but it's not hard to pull out last year's forms and type in a few lines. I have to trust the software and so far I've never been audited, then again, I don't think I've ever entered bad data -- mine seems pretty cut and dried. As far as maximizing refund, I've never done a comparison. A few dollars one way or the other doesn't bother me.

I used taxact for 15 yrs and will never go back! only con is what I call easy on the eyes. Could use better fonts and color etc...
