Didn't copy last info correctly

Every time you open it wants to check for updates then it didn't copy some info from last year return correctly which meant reject from IRS then unclear on how to fix. Otherwise good overall.

Unable to e-file w/this product

I was able to complete my return but several attempts to e-file were rejected apparently because there is a problem with the program related to a carry-over energy tax credit. I was told there would be a program update to correct later this month. I decided to print the return and file by mail. I will consider alternative products next year since e-filing was part of what I paid for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use with Great Features!

I have been using HRB software for 5 years and have found it to be accurate, EASY to use and reliable.Even with the new Tax Law it was seamless, with pop up help and advisory screens galore.Filing electronically is a snap, as is saving all necessary hard copies for your records. I'm so glad I bought it.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Had some problems

I didn’t like that when we had 1 question and it said we had to pay 30.00. I was led to believe you would get free help on the commercials. Made me stay on hold with the IRS who would not help and told us to go to the website which we got no help there. It was frustrating cause I already spent money on the CD and now for one question you have to pay. Not Cool but we finally called a friend and he helped for free so after a few hours of something we thought would take no time at all . Took longer than we thought . But we got it done and the IRS accepted it. So we are happy campers now.

Cons: Time consuming

There are some questions that need more explanation. Auto tax etc. Questions late in the return need further explanation. Noted one error on estimated tax date that would not allow any solution.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

Not happy with the printing options

Your customer does not have the option of printing out Form 1040 without the schedules 1-6. Not everyone needs all the schedules. Its a waste of printer paper and ink.
