mostly very convenient

Very hard to figure out how to actually enter Corrections that are needed before the program will efile. Took me several hours.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Trouble the last 2 years.

Last year 1040ES was not available so had to go online to IRS to get forms.
This year deceased spouse return not available for state e file. As a retired EA I have never had that problem before. Trouble with solar credit. Don't know if that was program problem or IRS problem due to shutdown.

Good Features, Ease of Use slipping

Income Tax preparation should be generally straightforward and for the most part it is. Foreign Tax credit is the exception. While the program will automatically apply any credit under $300, you don’t get a hint about what you need to do if you have more credit to apply,
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
