Very Good, Easy to Use

I bought this Deluxe version for non-business typical individual tax returns.
It installs easily and the interview feature makes it easy to use and uncomplicated.
The import feature for getting data from financial institutions needs some tweeking. If you have jointly owned accounts, it imports anything with your name on it, even if you are not the principle owner and taxpayer for the account. So, when preparing your return you need to check the dollar amounts carefully to make sure you are actually the taxpayer and principle owner of the account.
Also when importing from financial institutions, it sometimes uses your account number, and sometimes uses the Payers Tax ID number. This makes it hard to keep track of what account data (e.g. 1099-DIV and 1099-INT) you are looking at on the page.

More difficult than previous years

I had more difficulty locating the path thru this software than the IRS forms trying to correct errors that I made. Yes I would recommend it but would caution anyone I told to use it.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

Extra money taken out of account, without notifyin

Took extra money out of my account, without notice, clam fried. Had account shut down cause of h&r. Don't use them,on software

I liked the ease with which I was able to combine multiple stock sales in groups by brokerage.

We have been using H & R Block programs for several years. The 2018 version was easy to use. Instructions are very clear and it is easy to e-file returns.
