Coming over from TurboTax after the discontinuation of It's Deductible and purchased the Deluxe + State. It did my taxes effectively but the interface needs lots of work. Clunky when switching between the interview and forms and often difficult, and sometimes impossible, to trace where a number is a form is traced to.
Dedcution Pro is useful and appreciate that it's integrated but could use more categories (suggest using the It's Deductible template that's not being used anymore!). Would be great to have Dedcution Pro pulled out and integratabtle so that deductions can be entered all year long and imported into the tax software (again, like It's Deductible used to perform).
Not nearly as polished as TurboTax but more affordable. Since I rely upon deduction tracking, I'm on the fence as to whether I'll come back for 2026 taxes.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming

I've used H&B Deluxe for years and it has been very easy and thorough. I would like to have an option to enter all W2s, 1099Int. and 1099Rs and 1099B before going through the interview process.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Overall happy with the product. I do my elderly mother's taxes and she qualifies for homestead exemption but her not paying property taxes is always flagged. Would be nice if you factored in whether or not a senior qualified for homestead exemption.

I've used the HR Block Deluxe software for years, But this may be the last time I buy it. My eyesight is failing and it's not possible to increase the size of the text. I complained about this last year to a support person and am not pleased that you do not make any effort to improve accessibility issues.
