Gets the job done

I'm mostly very happy with this software, and have only one or two minor issues with it, mostly having to do with the way it handles K-1 and rentals and royalties forms, which won't affect most users (and may be my own fault, for not purchasing the premium version). Apparently the competing programs have their own issues too. For the most part, it is great, and easy to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund

This Tax preparation softweare is a great product.

I have used this software for many, many years preparing tax returns for myself and my family. We have always been very pleased with it. It is very easy to use. The price has always been very favorable, not excessively expensive like Turbo Tax. I will continue to use the H&R Block Tax software. It's the best!

The program worked great except with one problem, it would not pickup last years return which it normally does. I had to enter the information in.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

Good but flawed

Downloaded TD Ameritrade info easily but wouldn't work with other financial sources (Fidelity, Vanguard). Showed error codes 2000 and 2003.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After 15 years using turbo tax I switched to H&R Block. My taxes from turbo tax loaded into this software.

This software is very thorough and provides everything most filers will need to complete their returns. More complicated situations involving complex investments or businesses may require the premium version. The deluxe version was more than adequate for my needs.
