Filling out not a problem. Have used this several years. But.... went to transmit and received email stating h/r block can not transmit at this time. So now I’ve bern on hold for over 2 hrs try to figure out while still pending! And I have a simple return w no deductions????

I get the software this year just like every yr since 2002 and this years was VERY DIFFICULT to use. But with assistance from the tax pros I got it done.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked well (except for contributions)

I had for several years used TurboTax and was pleased with that tax program, but they were getting more costly every year. I decided to try H&R Block because it costs less and was pleased. It took a little getting used to, but worked fine. My only problem was in the " money contribution" section. The H&R program imported most of the organizations I contributed to in 2017 (which I liked), however, I also had some new organizations to add, but the H&R program would not allow me to add any additional organizations. To get around this problem I added the total amount of additional contributions to an organization that was imported, and made a note for myself that I had done so, and if audited, would be able to explain what happened and provide the documentation pertaining to the "fix" of mine.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I can do my taxes fairly quickly!

I have used H & R Block software since I had a rental property over 15 years ago. I no longer have the rental, but other issues, and this software makes it so much easier for me to do my taxes easily, and quickly. I also do not worry about being audited. I especially find the feature to import some of my financial information to be most helpful; I am not sure I would know how to navigate thru the tax codes and forms to get everything done correctly and in its rightful spot. Thank you H & R Block!!

Error: Same as last year

Third year using, second year with the same issue: On State return, does not carry over the Direct Deposit information from the Federal form. Nor is there any place within the State program to input this number before sending, therefore it must be printed and filled in manually.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
