Easy to file

This is my 5th year using H&R software and I’m very happy. Do recommend it to anyone.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

By far, this was the easiest return to do. It made me a little nervous because it was too easy. But after going through the checks (at least they found a couple of things to review), I felt better. Kudos to H&R Block for making something complex, something easy to navigate and ultimately to process.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Needs Work

Had problem with electronic filing. Wife and I filed as MFS in past years. This year filing as MFJ. However, program would not let us electronically sign as there was only space for the primary person's AGI. Program needs to be changed to facilitate electronic signatures for both tax payers when they filed MFS in the previous year.

I have used H & R Block tax software for several years. It fills in last years return information which helps. I found it easier to follow than the other software I used before.

Initially Rejected by the IRS

Overall the software worked well, but my e-file with the IRS was rejected for a typo on a payee tax I.D. I typed a 5 instead of a 4 as part of the number. This seems like the kind of thing that should be caught by the HR Block error check. I was able to refile successfully after making the correction.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

Bought this at WalMart and I could have saved the sales tax by using the disc sent via mail!... DOH!
