I have used H&R software for several years to do my taxes. I have been able to import my Merrill 1099’s which made it so much easier for me. UNTIL this year and Merrill was not an option.

Horrible software. This year's version (2025) was the worst. With miscalculations. And the planning part for this years taxes (2026) was a joke. I could do better with a spreadsheet.

I've been using H&R Block every year for over 15 years. Pretty smooth and convenient. But no experience yet to compare with other software. Now it seems to be more "troublesome" because it is not straightforward to uninstall the software after I finished using it. Now I have multiple versions of previous years on my computer.
