I found numerous problems with software this year. Also maddening was the crashing of the software. I have used this software more than a decade.
Why all these problems this year is mind boggling.

The interview software did not ask if I use an IP PIN when submitting my return, thus the return was rejected, and had to be resubmitted with the IP PIN. A question needs to be added to the interview on this subject.
Software is not transparent enough on how calculations are performed, more detail would help.
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good product, problem with charge for state filing

I’ve used a competitor’s software but preferred yours because it allowed me to view the form I was working on.
I’m having a big problem with triplicate charge for state filing. I called a help number but it was for a Medicare-related service!. Would you please send me an email with a phone number I can call to resolve added charge issue!

The tool worked, but the interface seems dated. The navigation within the tool (go to button) could be better laid out to better prompt use. In short, refresh the GUI to make the software more intuitive. I think the underlying functions work well, but offering some better feedback to the user of those functions would be helpful. For example, retrieving tax-related information from third parties (1099-R, B, INT) is great, but at times it was unclear how long it would take or if it was working. The "this could take a few minutes" notice needs improvement via a gauge or time estimate based on data amounts.

We use this every year and I appreciate that it enables me to do my own taxes at all but it could be much better. Most frustrating thing is that every year when I get the end it tells me I have failed to enter information that I know I absolutely have entered and I have to go back and enter it again.
