The H&R Block deluxe program for federal is pretty good, but some of the questions and Interviews are not specific enough nor clear enough. For example, the question "Did you contribute to an IRA?" Should be clarified that this is a standalone IRA not one with an employer or rollover or conversion. Several questions are unclear and too vague. In the state (Maryland), there are similar issues and parts completely unexplained.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare

wont buy next year.

Wont efile. Get error message software cant connect to internet. Tried on different computers, that had no problem with efile last year. No trouble with software updates, just efile. So I had to scramble April 14 to print and mail. They should give partial refund at least for the postage I had to pay.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well. State tax not being included in the 5 e-filings is not obvious. No apparent way to back out of paying for state once you commit. What use is 5 filings to most people who only file once, using a second filing for state would be beneficial and save money.

Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
