Inexcusably Buggy and Frustrating Lack of Support

This is probably the twelfth year I've used H&R Block tax software. For the most part it's worked well. This year, the software was very buggy. It kept showing $0 as the amount owned/refund through several sessions/upgrade all the way until I had submitted the taxes. Several pop-up dialogs were completely blank. The online help was useless and the AI useless and irritating. Nowhere could I find a link to any actual help desk/person. Taxes are stressful enough without having software with obvious bugs.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I decided to switch from TurboTax after 30? years. I thought HR for be more cost effective for 2 x Fed and an IN and MI state. After all the extra costs from HR, I'm not so sure.
The HR software did a good job of importing from last years TT.
The HR software was different from TT, and so; a little clumsy and unfamiliar to navigate, especially when "going back" to fix and correct.
Not sure what I'll do next year.
The 1040s were all accepted 3 weeks ago... still waiting for the refunds.

The software is great. The only downside is that one has to pay a fee to file the State return and the fees are repetitive if your return is not accepted the first time. I followed the instructions and the state return was not accepted the first time.
