Federal and state returns are fairly easy to complete. Last year and again this year I had problems with saving/printing my local forms. The printing intructions are not clear, and if you make a mistake, the forms disappear.
Always liked it imported data from last year. This year imported too many 1099-misc and it was hard to find out how to delete them. It kept adding them up. Probably will not use next year
A 1099 for a gift annuity for a spouse has F in box 7 indicating a charitable gift annuity. This is showing up in the Maryland tax form 502 on line 10a as a subtraction. It is NOT showing up on the two-income subtraction worksheet as a subtraction item and therefore is showing up again as a subtraction item. As a result, this amount is being subtracted twice. I don’t believe it should show on line 10a as it is not from a pension and should only be subtracted as a two income subtraction.
Not happy about having to pay an extra fee to e-File with the state of Ohio.
Software can be a little clunky in certain areas especially near the end (e-Filing and Printing). Also, didn't like how many times it asked for reviews
I used this last year and was pleased. This year it had the checker feature that actually had me make 2 duplicate W2's. I'm not impressed. Additionally, when purchasing I bought the package that includes the State. However, that doesn't mean that it includes the State eFile, which was an additional $19.95 when I was all done. Very disappointing.
