I've been using H&R Block Deluxe Tax software for many years. It has always
been excellent for guiding me through the ever changing of completing my federal and state tax returns

the program has a glitch and no place to update till next due date so I have to send my state in by mail

Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund

Simple to Use

I have had this for awhile waiting on the updates to the software for final IRS Federal Forms. The federal piece seemed easier than earlier years and this year the online ability for filing worked for the state taxes too. Some confusion on my part on whether to call myself a resident or not for state income tax purposes.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I used HR block deluxe software for the first time this tax season. The program was easy to use and it answered all my questions as it progressed. I was momentarily stopped when it asked for a TIN to efile the return but after some online investigation I found out a SSN works for some people (maybe most individual filers?). I suggest mentioning this in your program. I also would have liked to look at Form 1040 as I progressed without all the smart boxes. They generally were more confusing than helpful. All in all, an excellent tax program.
