I had a problem Imcould not get an answer for this year. The state return wanted a number I could not find. First time I’ve had a problem like this, and I have been using Block for many years. I ended up having to print and mail my state rather than electronic filing. Not the worst thing but disappointing.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

it was complicated to use and during the accuracy review, the forms picked up markings that I didn't check during the initial manual uploads. For example, Foreign address on one of my w2s that had to be corrected, but then repetitvely asked for the country I lived in after the box was unchecked. The system during same check, kept taking out addresses or added amounts not added on the paper w2, creating an accuracy check. It was so frustrating, I had to exit out and come back later. Errored me out on Fed and State for same reasons. Made the process longer than it needed to be.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchased hrblock in December and used it to complete my taxes. Then after getting an ok I filed my taxes. I then discovered my RMD was not included. My computer died and I have been trying to download the software again without paying for another copy. I have not been able to do so. Now I am going to need to file an amended return manually. NOT GOOD.
