You get what you pay for

First time in years that I didn't use tax act. Saving the money was not worth the headaches. Will definitely be switching back to Tax Act next year. Would charge for filling then say you have to update. Took time refunding the money for filling. Would not import Tax Act. I should have spent the money and ordered Tax Act.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good tool but 1 state tax problem

I have been using Block's software for many years and am very satisfied with the results. I encountered one problem in the 2018 tax year NJ State Tax. 'Veteran Status' did not carry forward from 2017 data and was not shown in the dialog.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Did OK but have a question

Software worked but I first did my federal taxes itemizing my deductions and was told I owed $563. Went through the process but decided before I wrote the check to the IRS I would go back and do my taxes using the standard deduction. When I finish I was getting a refund of $463. I would have like to have the software alert me of this next time. Just a suggestion.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I bought this as soon as I received it. I been using the H & R tax program even before it was H & R. Originally it was a software company in IA. H & R kept the good things on their program and have improved it each year, making everything easy to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Came in the mail, where is the cd.

I did not use the version sent in the mail because it did not contain a cd. I purchased the software retail because it contained a hard copy cd. Yes I understand the download and update process but I want the hard copy for my files. I did examine Tutbotax in the store, you came close to loosing me.
Pros: Easy to prepare
