I have been using this program and Tax Cut 12 years and am very pleased. I have noticed subtle improvements. I downloaded my brokerage statements and fortunately caught that because I used them for dividends at the start of the program my capital earnings were counted twice. That is the only thing i experienced that might need improvement.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Been using HR block software for over 10 years. Past 2 years the software is buggy. The software updates don’t work on MacOs running on Apple silicon. Updates all had to be downloaded and installed manually. I’d be happy to be a tester if you’re interested in making your product work. Outside of that I’ll keep using your product. Oh, and installing it the first time also did not work. Had to call your help desk to provide me the State I needed. Hopefully you fix this next year as this has been 2 in a row, sane issue.

Updates won't run and I can't download the state I need. It says it can't connect to the data center but is has no problem connecting to charge my credit card. Very frustrating!

There is a bug when entering 1099s where a subsequent account name overwrites the first account name.

The Federal return software was fine - good job! The state return was flawed. There is a bug in the calculations that was present for 2024 and NOT CORRECTED for 2025 - bad job!

WV - MV 1 add a new field "Credit Claim Number"

I was pretty happy with this program. I have one request, please add a field on the WV tax form MV-1 Credit Claim Number so I can file my WV return electronically. Last year and this year, I had to mail in my returns because you don't capture this new field for the new form introduced last year by WV (MV-1). You do capture the amount, but because you don't capture the Credit Claim Number and transmit that electronically with my return, I have to file snail mail.
