I have use for many years. This year was awful! After entering all my data, I came back several days later to find I was not able to retrieve my file. Kept getting error message “unable to retrieve”. I had to create another file which was very time consuming and frustrating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

after 20 years seriously thinking of switching sw. you sw is difficult in two areas, Importing finacial records from prokerage account, it did not import basis accuratly making a mess that i had to manually fiw. Also, confusion over how to handl exercised options repotrd on w2 and brokerage account. This is not new and you guys are behind on this, and also how the sw handles rented and personal use of property, asks alot of question and get the wrong answer anyway.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

Options around retirement are confusing. App worlds but delete a for because my wife is off retirement age but e are not taking SS - she’s a Retired Texas Teacher and does not get SS. Deleted it multiple times during review but it kept showing up.

I bought the software a couple weeks ago and thought its interface was very dated and not current. It seemed clunky and not nearly as polished as TurboTax.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Bought 2025 Fed n state deluxe Nov. After working and reworking it following suggestions,got approval to file free Fed n paid 22for LA state.Apil 9. Fed rejected for no reason x 3 and state won't file electronically solid so mailed both.Please refund my State filing fee.

HOWEVER, YOUR REQUIREMENT FOR THE SOFTWARE TO BE INSTALLED ON THE MAIN HARD DRIVE (C DRIVE) IS PURE BS!
I install on a removable hard drive that I only connect when I am doing my taxes. Insuring security of my personal and financial data. With in installed on another drive, other that C drive, none of the updates will install properly.
Software NEEDS to be able to be used on PROPERLY on any hard drive!!!

The program does its job, but theirs are so area I found time consuming.. can’t make a change on a form directly, have go back to the beginning to get to many time when I want to see , review or change something. Didn’t had an underpayment penalty form. Indicated for was OK for minor to process electronically but IRS rejected for a 16 year old first timer. Had to send paper copy. Program should have advised me before filing
