Overall I'm happy, but my one complaint this year is that when I downloaded my state file I received a state updater rather than the actual state package, and it caused me to get an error which made me have to call support. I had a really hard time getting the agent to understand that I didn't have to log into anything to do my taxes since I was doing them on my PC and did not have to log in. She finally emailed me the state file and I noticed that what I had actually downloaded originally was a state updater package and not the state software itself. After that I installed the software and completed my taxes. Quite a bit of frustration and lost time.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

As a person who is in his 8th tax season assisting a local tax service, the system is not very user friendly and does retain enough information from year as the basic return information has to be re-entered every year. Also organisation of items doesn't flow as well as it should. I think it arrives at the right answer but it doesn't really present it in a very effective way. How, the price point of the software probably has a significant impact on the software design.

One small problem with this years program.

I've used this program for years for myself and my children. It has always worked marvelously. But this year I did notice a couple of glitches. The worst one was if you needed to edit the on of multiple W-2 forms, the program would change Box 1 of the first W-2 to the amount of Box 1 on the W-2 you needed to edit. Therefore, the entire bottom line of the return would change. You had to be very, very careful here.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
