The Rent/Royalty section is a disaster!

I've been using HRB for years, and I have yet to get thru the Royalty section without having to make several attempts. The Royalty section should be completely divorced from the Rent section instead of intermingled.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

OK But asks me to figure out too much

In filling out the program, there a several instances where I went through the questions and the program then asked me to figure out the taxable income or taxable amount, specifically a 1099-R form from a pension where the taxable amount was not determined. That is what I bought this program to do, not ask me to do it. All it needed to do was ask a couple more questions from the form it told me to go find and fill out and the program could have done it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good software, easy to use, fair price

I have used H&R Block for three years now and remain satisfied. The product is more complete than the Turbo product used in the past, and does not require one to buy extras for common things. They have improved their document import so it was possible to import several 1099 and other such forms.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

I have used H&R Block for over 10 years. Significantly better than the competition in ease of use and accuracy of computation. This program always gets the highest return. I have proven this to friends with side by side inputs.

1099B

The import of the 1099B duplicated the already import the investment iport previously done along with IRA distributions. Confusing and required a care full review. Recommend a review of this area. Maybe I missed some instruction but I don't think so. Other wise every thing was fine.
