I have been using H&R Tax software since 1997 I believe and it new disappoints. I always know I will get an accurate tax return with out spending a lot of time in a tax office or on the computer. I know I can finish my return and have it checked and feel confident that it is correct and on its way. Great time saver!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Good program, with exceptions

A friend recommended this to me, I filled out all the state and federal information, tried to efile, and product said it needed to update, When I updated, it changed or deleted all my information. I had to go thru again and reenter.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I have used H&R Block for at least 10 years. I find it very easy to use and understand. I liked the feature this year that told you to use the standard deduction is that was appropriate.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Easy to get through and ell steps explained well. Only issue was the tax form import feature. After every W2 imported, computer had to be restarted before the next W2 could be imported or the software would shutdown.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
