I HAVE BEEN USING TAX CUT FOR THE LAST 20 OR 25 YEARS. OR SO
AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM. I WAS UNABLE TO
DOWNLOAD FOUR OF MY 1099S BECAUSE THE DOCUMENT ID WAS 13
CHARACTERS LONG AND TAX CUT WOULD ONLY ALLOW 11. I HAVE FILED
AN EXTENSION ASSUMING THE PROBLEM WILL BE FIXED WITH THE NEXT
UPDATE.

I've been using H&R Block software for almost 10 years and generally find it logical and easy to understand. There are places that could use more explanation or links to better details. And some that ask for last year's info when they've already linked last year's return. But it's definitely a good value if you take your time.

The product was not very user friendly on MacOS. For example, even after you delete an entry, the product doesn't modify it. Only if you totally start all over again for that part, does it clear everything.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Misleading Ad but okay program

I feel snookered and betrayed. The title "Deluxe+State Tax Software" suggests that the payment I made includes both Federal and State programs. I had to pay again, not just for the program but for filing my state taxes. I tried to find a place to ask why, but the it didn't work and it's close to the deadline so I just paid. The cost of my tax preparation more than doubled this year. That's far above what I would have expected. I also have a large sum that appears underreported but I couldn't get the program to recognize it.
Pros: Maximizes refund, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
