I've used the tax software for many years and there's nothing about doing my taxes that I enjoy. However, this software strives to be approachable, comprehensive, and helpful. There were times when I needed help - it was available. One thing that I found annoying was trying to enlarge the text or image on my computer screen. The help screens did offer to print them.
All said, building the tax software and the filing challenge are immensely challenging. I don't want them to raise the price, but the cost is a good deal. What I would like is for the people who write the tax laws to have to struggle every year to do their own tax returns and all of the schedules and worksheets, They need to witness the revolting complexities which they cause. That also has led to complexities in investment, borrowing, financing, and every facet of the business world. That is plainly visible in the taxpayer situation questions in the software. So horribly complex...
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

I ended up buying 2 because of a message that read “failed in managewebview” on the first one. The second one I bought did the same thing. I crossed my fingers and when ahead and used it. Here’s hoping my tax submission is correct.

Been using H&R Block Software for over 20 years. I see no reason to switch. The only thing I wonder about are the error reviews when it flags something that is correct but even after I review them, they are still flagged.

The suckiest tax program I have ever used.

This was the worst tax experience that I have ever had. Parts of the program, like saving a .pdf did not work, directions on Form 1116 were unclear, on one pass through one of my income sources was lost. I feel the program is clunky and hard to us. I thought that even though I disliked the program every year that I used it, that repeating this year would make tax filing easier. Some of my brokerage accounts were no longer connected this year. It didn't.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
