Not Enough Guidance

Lack sufficient guidance for completing Schedule A1, Penalty for Underpayment. Recommend this area be edited and more guidance provided.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Gives refund only when you input wages after nothing changes. All your expenses have no effect on the refund. I wonder why then should we input expenses when they have effect on the refund. Not a good product. Will try another product next year. H&R Block is only after making money. Buy this, pay for this but does not help much with refunds
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Each line should link to IRS instructions.

Still the best

Have used you in the Past & will continue to do so. Only issue that I had was when my 1099 R's were imported, not all the information was included. Had to manually insert the information.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

I'm a senior citizen. This is my second year using H&R. It works, but could be better. Doing my taxes make me a basket case. All my life, I've "read the instructions" first. This program doesn't allow that. Jump right in and answer the questions. I could relax if I knew what to expect.

Cons: Time consuming

Great program

The Deluxe version of the H&R Block tax software is clear and concise, and easy to use. I’ve used it for four straight years. I have only one issue. When printing copies of the return that are not final copies, one’s social security number appears on every page. You need to be extra careful in how you dispose of the draft pages in order to secure your private information. I wish this could be changed so that only part of the SS # shows up, or none shows up when printing drafts.
