I've been using H&R Block software for years...It's excellent, easy to use, clearly-written, less expensive, and seems to be thorough. I continue to be pleased.

trouble with e-filing

When you have a verification like the number you place on W2 social security amount, your program says that this number is normally higher then your income. Well my W2 numbers where the same even thought I had block 12 marked with a 401K take out. You can't changed that and make the verification go away?
Never had this happened before, the IRS rejected my e-file due to a depended error, I paid with a credit card the State e-filing amount. After making the correction, and e-filed it again, the system would take make credit card and thus I couldn't e-filed it. I tried going back to the credit card page and wouldn't let me change the information. That is a bummer???????
Please let me know how to correct this.

NY State needs some work

I've used H & R for several years and find it helps a lot; however, some instructions in the interview are confusing.
The New York State part is difficult because the NY State instructions are so complicated.

I'm a little nervous since I haven't done my own taxes in years since they were so complicated. I had some questions so I called and a lady helped me wade through it. Hope I did it right. If I didnt, im sure ill find out.

Switched to Block years ago when TurboTax scammed me out of a rebate. Have used Block for ~8 years. Very satisfied.
