Great built in speed trap.

You built in a guaranteed rejection when you put a "0" in the box where the feds ask for 2017's AGI it was a bad idea to ask someone that filed a joint return if each of them had filed a tax return and ask both for their AGI. It caused both the State and Feds to reject the forms. What were you thinking?
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

My copy that I downloaded did not seem to be very stable. When I opened it I was immediately taken to the page that said I had finished?? That is one example of several. I know you have to help an enormous number of people but it certainly did not help that my husband and I are retired so most of the information did not pertain to our situation. I finally realized that after putting in all of our deductions that we did not have enough to even break even. I finally just gave up and took the larger deduction and had to end up paying the IRS. It would have been helpful to have additional information for retirees.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this software for years on a Windows platform, this year I am using a Mac and I am not happy with the Block program.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I changed from Turbo Tax to H &R Block several years ago and am glad I did.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Nothing deluxe about this years program....

If I had known that this deluxe version did not allow to file a state e-file due to a death of spouse, then I would not have purchased it...I would have taken it to a local tax person or company. IT was not that LA would not allow...H&R Block just did not support it. I read through the requirements from the state to file and met them
