Got this from an Amazon sale. It's the one I use every year. It has the state included too. Have used Turbo Tax in the past, and this program is easier for me to use and understand.
I made a charitable contribution directly from my IRA. The 1099-R from Schwab did not reflect that. I finally managed to include it on my software worksheet, after I found it at the end of the 1099R interview. Another issue, the automatic downloads from Charles Schwab did not download our addresses and other details on the 1099-R properly. I was finally able, after a great deal of work, to manually put them in during the error review process, but it was very difficult to do. Did the charitable contribution trigger this by creating a taxable distribution different from the 1099-R?? There is no box on the 1099-R for these charitable contributions, and manually adding addresses was difficult to do
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
This is my 4th year filing with H&R Block and I am happy with the product. I thought that the Deluxe package offered 1 free State E-filing but I did not get that when I E-filed but had to pay for it this year. Is that a new change? Please advise. Thanks.
I purchased this and my tax information from last year went right into the field that needed that information. The e-file function is really easy And fast. It would be nice if the state e-file free free like the federal tax return.
Bought this as a test to prepare for my inputs to the accountants. Well, after import from Quicken, and answering all the questions, my accountant lost his job. I'm in the situation that I haven't significant deductions, so the standard was perfect. The software led me through the Conversion I did from and IRA to a ROTH. Helped me answer all the questions, and within 2 days of receiving my last 1099R, it was filed. Already have my refund
