Honestly, I have used HR Block for many years, and always been completely satisfied.
However, in 2025, having to try and use the Alternative for Marriage Year reconciliation of APTC penalties (8962, 974) for a situation where only 1 of the people that were on ACA pre Marriage; only to find that the program will not allow entry of only line 35 and not line 36 of 8962, thus not allowing for file in this situation is simply a bad failure in programming that should have been fixed years ago
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Got lost navigating to edit fixes directed by interview, as some buttons and titles directed to don't exist. When "continue to list required Fixes and Data clearance, more instructions needed how to get to the edit window.
Also, the Ai help window is way too large covering 80% of the screen making unable to see working copy issues needing help.

Software was easy to use. There were sometimes I had a question but was able to use the help function. The only problem was the help function used Microsoft Edge and would sign me up for Microsoft Rewards and install an icon on my desktop each time I used it. If H&R Block switches to a web app with a good browser it would be a great software
